FAQs on Direct Primary Care in Texas

In providing superb care with unprecedented doctor access, we seek to prevent or reduce hospitalizations and specialty referrals. In instances where those types of care are required, we will certainly continue to treat you during your hospital stay or work closely with any specialist. In some cases, depending on the level of care and the sorts of expertise required, we may rely on those specialized caregivers to manage your treatment.

Naturally we provide such care – yet another freedom we enjoy together as a result of AmarilloMD’s independence from the restrictions of third-party payment. Because we know you well, we can streamline your care when you’re sick away from home. Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation by phone, email, text, or webcam. We’ll locate the nearest pharmacy and order the medications most appropriate for your circumstances.

Of course. We might argue that everyone benefits from a service tailored directly to them. That’s why we offer custom healthcare. Our direct primary care practice is devoted to the maintenance of your good health, to the enhancements of your daily experience that only physical well-being can bring.

We recommend that our patients continue to carry both a major medical plan (or health sharing: i.e. Samaritan’s Ministries) and a health savings account to ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary. We’re happy to refer you to insurance representatives who can help customize an insurance plan to fit your specific needs.

We do not accept Medicaid or any type of governmental aid as payment or as part of payment. We operate solely on the monthly subscription basis, which allows us to limit our patient number and provide you with personal healthcare services. We are dedicated to keeping our prices affordable as a direct primary care clinic in Texas for every one of our patients so they can receive excellent healthcare.

We provide many healthcare services. However, some services are not included in your membership but are instead offered at a deeply reduced cost including labs, imaging, diagnostic testing, and medications. We are able to offer you these services at reduced cost because we have negotiated low prices for the services. Other services including hospital admission, home or office visits, and surgical procedures may also come with a fee to cover our costs.

AmarilloMD offers monthly subscriptions to our patients and will bill you on a monthly basis.
